Dakar, Dec 16 (APS) – Senegalese Basketball player from the Egyptian team Al Ahly Ndèye Ndioma Kane was named best player of the African Women’s Basketball League (December 6-15) which ended on Sunday at stadium Marius-Ndiaye in Dakar, on a third coronation for Ferroviário Maputo (Mozambique).
Author of a great competition with an average of 12.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, Ndèye Ndioma Kane, called ”Didi” displayed all her class and her talent on the floor of the Marius-Ndiaye stadium. The 24-year-old basketball player charmed the demanding audience of the African Women’s Basketball League, with her crossover or rotating dribbles.
Without forgetting his blind passes, his shot feints and his dribbling penetrations. All these technical gestures that she knows how to execute wonderfully contributed to giving a good level to this competition, but above all to taking her team to the final before losing to Ferrovirario Maputo, 81-72.
Facing her country’s club, ASC Ville de Dakar, host of the tournament, the slender-looking basketball player of Senegalese origin had no qualms. The versatile player, on the contrary, led, life was hard for her compatriots, in the semi-final with 18 points scored.
Former Clube Desportivo Escola player Francisco Franco (Portugal) strongly contributed to the elimination of ASC Ville in the semi-final.
Former ISEG Sports player, Ndèye Ndioma Kane, also stood out during the match on the third day of the group stage. The best Senegalese player in the pre-qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup in Kigali, a member of the major five, scored 19 points.
The former winger of Quinta Dos Lombos (Portugal) also won the Francophonie Games with Senegal.
