Lots of Red Wings on the menu
We hope you like the Detroit Red Wings, because you’ll get what you pay for this week. It starts Tuesday for the Canadian, against the Buffalo Sabers in Montreal. This will be followed by the two stages of the Canadian-Red Wings Clásico, Friday in Detroit, then Saturday in Montreal. Let’s be frank, these are two clubs roughly the caliber of the Canadian, and in a world where victories are rare, this is exactly the kind of match that the Habs cannot escape.
To follow the matches:
Tuesday from 7 p.m. on RDS or in chat with Richard Labbé at lapresse.ca
Friday from 7 p.m. on RDS or in chat with Richard Labbé at lapresse.ca
Saturday from 7 p.m. on TVA Sports or in chat with Éric Martel at lapresse.ca
Victory back in action
After this strange international break which punctuates a season that is only three games old in the LPHF, the Victoire de Montréal will be back in action this week. But we will still have to wait until Saturday before reconnecting with Marie-Philip Poulin, Laura Stacey, Ann-Renée Desbiens and company. La Victoire will be in Toronto to face a hockey team with the educational vocation of teaching us a new word, Sceptres.

The big return of Lindsey Vonn
American ski legend Lindsey Vonn will make her return to the World Cup during the stage in Saint-Moritz (Switzerland) on December 21 and 22, at the age of 40. Vonn, former holder of the women’s record for World Cup victories with 82 successes, took on the crazy challenge of returning to the highest level, almost six years after retiring at the World Cups in Åre (Sweden) in February 2019. Victim of numerous injuries during her career, Vonn underwent surgery last spring to replace part of her right knee with a titanium prosthesis.
