Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé has just won the title of horse racing trainer of the year 2024. It crowns the work he carries out within his stable in La Tremblade, in Charente-Maritime.

Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé has just obtained the title of best horse racing trainer of the year 2024. This title belongs to him because he is the director of the stable who has accumulated the most winnings during the various obstacle races on French racecourses.

According to France Galop which establishes the prize list, the Trembladais won 5 million euros. These sums are distributed between horse owners, bettors, jockeys and Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé himself. At 60, the coach remains modest: “It’s an honorary title. It’s the entire team that is champion of France. It’s not just one man because if we’re not a whole team, we can’t get there. It starts from the person who makes the boxes, the secretary who does a lot of work and all the employees, the farrier, the veterinarians… “
The Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé stable employs around thirty employees including 20 jockeys and training riders. They work the horses every morning before daybreak. Gaëtan Masure is a jockey: “He’s a very meticulous person. He doesn’t talk much, but there’s no need to speak for you to understand. He wants everything to be done to the millimeter.”
For all employees, the success of the coach can be explained:“Mr. Chaillé-Chaillé is very respectful and very respected testifies Laëtitia Rose, accounting secretary within the stable. Its success is linked to its quality of work and the attention paid to animal welfare. He takes care of his stable and his staff.”

Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé, best coach of the year 2024
Of the 80 horses housed in the stable, the trainer owns around twenty.
Obtaining the award this year is almost a surprise because Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé’s best horse, Thélème, is on forced rest. He didn’t race all year even though he could have brought in up to 300,000 euros. However, the man installed as a coach since 1992 regularly finishes in the TOP 10 French coaches.

The Charentais-maritime dethrones one of his neighbors from La Tremblade, François Nicolle who held the title of head of the list of jumping horse trainers since 2018. Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé is ahead of him for the moment by 800,000 euros.
He will receive The Golden Horse at the Deauville racecourse next summer. He had already won this award in 2007.
