Christian Horner praised Red Bull's ability to turn around a bad situation at the start of the weekend in Qatar. Indeed, the Milton Keynes team was in great difficulty until the Sprint, but Max Verstappen set the best time in qualifying and won the race.
“It was another masterful lesson from Max. He was focused and in control throughout the race, his tire management during that first stint was exceptional” greeted the British leader.
“I think the team did a fantastic job of turning around the set-up and delivering a car that Max could really put his stamp on. It was a shame to lose pole but it gave Max more determination and motivation to lead into turn 1, it was an incredible performance from Max and the team.”
Horner congratulates his troops for having succeeded in completely turning around a bad situation: “All credit goes to the technical team for making big decisions and unlocking the potential of the car here.”
“That meant Max covered Lando throughout the race. It was a bit crazy here with the punctures but the team reacted and dealt with everything that happened, everyone did a great job .”
