An Arizona man who allegedly threatened to kill United States President-elect Donald Trump was arrested Monday.
Manuel Tamayo-Torres is accused of threatening Mr. Trump after making several threats against him and his family in a series of videos posted on Facebook, according to court documents.
While not directly identifying Donald Trump, court documents identify him as “Individual 1,” noting that he is a public figure, former president and current president-elect, according to CNN.
In a video posted to Facebook last Thursday, the suspect reportedly said: “[Individu 1] you are going to die, [Individu 1] your son is going to die. Your whole family will die, [Individu 1] This is reality now for you. This is the only reality you have in your future, [Individu 1]die.”
Manuel Tamayo-Torres also allegedly threatened to shoot Donald Trump by brandishing a possible “white AR 15 type rifle with a 30-round magazine inserted inside, the file states.
The suspect is also charged with felony counts of making false statements on federal forms. He allegedly tried to buy a weapon in Phoenix, Arizona.
