English clubs are fighting for it. Brahim Diaz, who has very little playing time at Real Madrid, is in the plans of several Premier League big names.
According to the Spanish press, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool could be among the most active Premier League clubs all in the running to sign the talented right winger from Real Madrid.
Indeed, the three English leaders are closely monitoring the Moroccan. It is even mentioned that offers are already on the table. Since the arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid, Diaz has seen his role diminish and could consider leaving to find more playing time.
The Transfermarkt site values Brahim Diaz at 40 million euros, a sum which should not deter his English suitors. In addition, the player already has experience in the Premier League, having played for Manchester City, which minimizes the risks linked to his adaptation to the English championship.
Liverpool favorite to win the battle?
Although Arsenal and Tottenham are interested, Liverpool could take the lead in signing Brahim Diaz. For the Gunners, Brahim would risk playing a secondary role, with Mikel Arteta continuing to favor Bukayo Saka as the main right winger. At Tottenham, he is expected to fight for a starting place against Brennan Johnson, while taking into account the challenges of a lack of trophies and regular participation in the Champions League for Spurs.
At Liverpool, on the other hand, Brahim could fit in perfectly as Mohamed Salah’s potential successor. Blessed with goal-scoring talent, great dribbling skills and experience in big Champions League games, Diaz would fit the Reds’ needs well. With the uncertainty surrounding Salah’s future, Liverpool could also offer Brahim a very favorable contract.
However, it remains to be seen whether Brahim Diaz is interested in a return to England or prefers to explore other options abroad. Furthermore, Real Madrid should not let him leave in the middle of the season, especially with the numerous injuries affecting the squad. Therefore, any transfer regarding Brahim Diaz will probably have to wait until summer 2025.
