R2: Langueux suffers a setback at home against Plédran

R2. Langueux – Plédran: 1-1

Undefeated until then in the home championship (four matches, four victories), Langueux drew with Plédran, bottom of the table (1-1). A setback at home which made them lose a few points on Lannion, Ploumagoar and Paimpol, their predecessors in the standings.

In difficult conditions with a strong crosswind, the two teams did not put on a great show, but Plédran, without a victory since the start of the season, relied on a solid start to the match and opened the scoring through Morel, launched in depth in the axis to win against Ndiaye (0-1.12′). Langueux reacted with Kichenin who crossed for Méheust well placed but did not hit the target (15′).

“The playing conditions were difficult”

A few moments later, captain Fombertasse gave hope after this brilliant offering for Méheust who equalized against Lorin (1-1.23′). In the second half, the Plédranne defense trembled on Kichenin’s cross but Lesage shot wide (56′). At the end of the match, Langueux pushed but showed clumsiness, the score did not change. Julien Kerleau’s valiant protégés will be able to rely on this match with a view to future meetings. “The playing conditions were difficult. We had three clear chances in the second half, we lacked technical accuracy,” underlined Barry Baudoin Boubacar, the Langueue coach. “We aimed to take a point and stop our negative spiral. We have to continue to work,” said Julien Kerleau, Plédran’s coach.

BUT. Langueux: Méheust (23′), Plédran: Morel (12′).
