A 6-foot-6 colossus is available on waivers for the Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens are in 30th place in the NHL with 16 points, just ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Nashville Predators.

It’s not the start to the season they were hoping for, but with two straight wins and five days off, they could turn things around.

The advantage of being 30th in the NHL is being third in deciding whether the team wants a player on waivers or not.

In fact, there is an interesting colossus who has just been submitted by the Detroit Red Wings.

This is Tim Gettinger, a 6-foot-6, 222-pound forward.

It’s true that the Canadian has small forwards and bulking up wouldn’t be a problem, but at the same time, they have turned their backs on better players.

Jakob Pelletier and Raphaël Lavoie were not claimed by Kent Hughes, so I don’t believe Gettinger will be either.

However, he is available for Kent Hughes and if he really wants to acquire him, he can.

Another reason why I don’t think he will come to Montreal is that there is already congestion on offense.

Michael Pezzetta is not playing (only three games this year) and Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and Patrik Laine have not yet returned.

This demonstrates all the depth there is in attack, although the quality of certain players leaves something to be desired.

With the good succession, including Joshua Roy, Owen Beck, Ivan Demidov and Michael Hage, I believe that the Canadian will be very solid in a few years, especially since they will still have Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki and Juraj Slafkovsky, unless a huge surprise.
