Morocco draws a draw against Algeria

Led for a long time, the national under-20 team managed to secure a draw against Algeria (1-1), during the 3rd day of the qualifying tournament for the CAN in the category in Senegal.

The Algerian Mohamed Zeghadi opened the scoring in the 12th minute and thought he would give the young Fennecs victory. This was without counting the self-sacrifice of the Lion Cubs who equalized at the end of the game thanks to Yassir Zabiri (86th).

The U20s preserve their invincibility in this North African tournament and maintain their leadership position with seven points (two wins and a draw).

The nationals’ last match is scheduled for next Saturday against Libya.

For their entry into the competition, the Moroccans dominated the host country of the UNAF, Egypt, winning 2-1 at the Suez stadium, in the city of Ismailia.

The second match was also conclusive for the Lion Cubs of the Atlas who showed a certain consistency by beating Tunisia with a score of 2 goals to 1.
