Max Verstappen at the wheel of the Acura ARX-06!

During an event organized by Honda Racing Corporation in Las Vegas this Wednesday, November 19, various drivers affiliated with the Japanese manufacturer gathered. We notably found Scott Dixon, Liam Lawson, Yuki Tsunoda, Colin Braun, Sergio Pérez and even Max Verstappen.

On this occasion, some of them had the opportunity to briefly try the mount of one of their friends. Thus, Liam Lawson took the wheel of an Acura Integra, Pérez that of a CR-V Hybrid, Yuki Tsunoda that of a Dallara DW12-Honda of IndyCar while Max Verstappen was able to test an Acura ARX-06 meeting LMDh regulations!

The opportunity for the three-time F1 world champion to taste driving a prototype for the first time, he who has never hidden his wish to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Dutchman was notably able to rely on the advice of Colin Braun, for whom this car holds no secrets. It remains to be seen whether this will reinforce his wish and make him want to go a little further…

As a reminder, his father Jos has already made the trip to Sarthe twice. LMP2 winner in 2008 in a Van Merksteijn Motorsport Porsche RS-Spyder alongside Jeroen Bleekemolen and Peter Van Merksteijn, he returned the following year in a Lola-Aston Martin LMP1, this time shared with Darren Turner and Anthony Davidson.
