According to information from The Team Didier Deschamps will discuss the captain’s armband with Kylian Mbappé. The daily specifies that the coach still has great confidence in the Real Madrid striker and that, if the latter wishes, he will keep the armband. The subject of captaincy is therefore still not decided while the former Parisian was preferred to Antoine Griezmann, who has since retired from international football.
Deschamps does not close the door to change
N’Golo Kanté, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Mike Maignan and Ibrahima Konaté: several players from the France team can claim the captain’s armband if Kylian Mbappé wishes to give it up. The Team specifies that the Blues staff particularly appreciated the performance of the defender of the Reds against Italy when the latter had the armband.
