Kick-off of the 2nd edition of the Cycling tour

In the presence of HE Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the representative of the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation, representatives of local authorities and as part of the celebrations of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024, more than 40 athletes and Cycling fans from Qatar and Morocco gathered on Saturday in Marrakech to kick off the second edition of the “CultuRide” cycling tour.

The “CultuRide” initiative, led by renowned Qatari athlete entrepreneur, Ali bin Towar Al Kuwari, aims to deepen international ties, through shared experiences.

From November 16 to 22, cyclists will travel more than 600 kilometers, crossing emblematic sites of the Kingdom and hidden treasures, and meeting local communities.

This event marks and celebrates Moroccan-Qatari friendship, through an inspiring journey to discover the picturesque and diverse landscapes of the Kingdom.

In a statement, Mr. Al Kuwari, official ambassador of this event, stressed that “CultuRide” is an opportunity to discover the potential and the rich heritage that Morocco abounds, adding that this initiative promotes the creation of meaningful connections through a shared exploration, especially as each stage of the journey offers an intimate insight into the heritage, culture and centuries-old traditions of the Kingdom.
