Mike Tyson's revelations about his state of health after his defeat against Jake Paul

After his defeat in the highly anticipated fight against Jake Paul in Arlington (United States), Mike Tyson made some revelations about his state of health.

He doesn't regret anything. At 58, Mike Tyson made his comeback to the ring on Friday, November 15, in a fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Arlington (United States). And the heavyweight legend, who had not fought professionally since 2005, lost unanimously from the judges after the eight rounds.

But being able to fight was already almost a victory for him, after having been confronted with significant health concerns which had forced him to postpone this fight initially scheduled for July 20. “I almost died in June. I've had eight blood transfusions. I lost half my blood and 25 pounds in the hospital and had to fight to get healthy and fight, so I won,” he posted on his X account (formerly Twitter), the day after his defeat.

The American boxer is also proud of having been able to hold out until the end of the fight. “Having my kids see me take on a talented boxer half my age and finish eight rounds in front of a packed Dallas Cowboys Stadium is an experience no man has the right to ask for. Thank you,” added “Iron Mike.”

If he left doubt about the rest of his rich and long career, the chances of seeing Mike Tyson, who won nearly 20 million euros for this fight, return to a boxing ring appear very slim.
