Quévert wins by the smallest margin against Le Poiré

The Quévertois quickly took the match into their own hands by carrying out rapid actions in the Poiré area. Very quickly, Tomas Cardoso opened the scoring (5′), quite logically, given the great domination of the locals.

In the following minutes, the match did not change and Cirilo Garcia’s men continued to be the most active and dangerous. The score is still 1-0 after a quarter of an hour and this is largely thanks to the beautiful flights of the visiting goalkeeper, Pedro Martin.

Pelizzari, from the penalty spot, has the opportunity to make the break, but once again the Poiré goalkeeper keeps watch (23′). The first period therefore ends with this score, which is not a costly price for the Quévertois.

“There was no way”

The start of the second period offers a completely different look, the Poiré players having decided to move up a gear. They then assert that they have not usurped their first place in the ranking by being very dangerous. But against Zadra, Acevedo made a superb save (37′).

The visitors continue to push and even withdraw their goalkeeper to be with five outfield players hoping to obtain the equalizer in the last seconds. Finally the score will remain 1 to 0 in favor of Quévert. Each team will have had its half-time, as Cirilo Garcia, the Quévert coach, indicates: “We had a good first period. It’s a shame that we weren’t able to capitalize on our opportunities. In the second half, we started to doubt. The guys did a good job in defense while this time we were less good in attack. There was no way, but if we win all the matches 1-0, I’ll sign straight away. »

Now, it’s time for the European Cup for the Quévertois this Thursday against Oliveirense, in Italy, for the first day of the Champions League.
