Germany did not perform well during the 5th day of the League of Nations. Julian Nagelsmann’s men indeed humiliated Bosnia by winning 7-0 in Fribourg. With this resounding victory, they are assured of finishing first in their group while Bosnia is condemned to relegation to League B.
The Germans scored through Jamal Musiala (2nd), Tim Kleindienst (23rd/79th), Kai Havertz (37th), Florian Wirtz (50th/57th) and Leroy Sané (66th) against opponents who were overwhelmed in all areas of the game.
The Germans signed their fourth victory in five matches, and have 13 points out of 15 possible. Thanks to their first place, the Mannschaft will play their quarter-final return at home on March 23, 2025.
Match interrupted for a moment in Amsterdam
In the other group match, the Netherlands also had a quiet evening, winning 4-0 at home against Hungary.
The match was especially marked by the interruption of play in the 7th minute to allow the emergency medical evacuation of Adam Szalai, assistant to Marco Rossi, the coach of Hungary. The ex-Basel player was indeed the victim of illness.
