The Chicoutimi Saguenéens recalled two Saguenéens players on Friday, Philippe Côté and Jacob Gomez.
Philippe Côté lined up with the Jeannois du Collège d’Alma in Division 1 of Quebec college hockey. He amassed 14 points, including five goals, in eight games. Unfortunately, he will not be able to play in the two games this weekend due to a lower body injury suffered during Friday’s practice.
For his part, Jacob Gomez, also born in Saguenay, played with the Élites de Jonquière, in the U18 AAA Hockey Development League. He had 10 points in nine games.
Côté and Gomez were invited to take part in rookie camp before the season. They are choices of 12e round and 2023.
On Thursday, forward Brennan O’Donnell returned home while defender Christian White was released.

Furthermore, forward Maxim Massé is approaching a return to play. The Maritimes Quebec Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) club published a video on Friday in which we see Massé participating in training with his teammates while wearing a sweater allowing contact.
Massé injured his ankle on October 17. He was initially scheduled to be away for a period of four to six weeks.
