Seunes, an XXL match
To close this second phase of the championship, Aurillac challenged Nevers this Friday evening with no less than thirteen changes in its XV which faced Provence Rugby last week. At the opening, Ugo Seunes took the goal with responsibility. At the start of the match marked by indiscipline on both sides, the young Aurillac player opened the scoring in the twentieth minute. Served by David Delarue, the opening half found the post on his drop attempt (3-0, 20th). In the process, Shaun Reynolds does not tremble, on the Nivernais side. The No. 10 responds to his counterpart (3-3, 24th), before the latter gives the Cantaliens the advantage with a first penalty (6-3, 28th). At the half-hour mark, David Delarue sent a low kick following a carried ball. Elijah Niko throws himself into the goal to score the first try scored by Seunes (13-3, 31st). In the action, Rati Zazadze receives a yellow card for a tackle without a ball (31st).
Upon returning from the locker room, Nevers made several substitutions to ring out the revolt. Having just entered the game, Kévin Noah leaves his team at XIV for having hit Mehdi Slamani in the face (43rd). Ugo Seunes continues his flawless performance (16-3, 44th). Axel Bevia’s partners want to drive the point home and get the offensive bonus. Two minutes later, the locals are already back in the zone of truth. On a carried ball, Basa Khonelidze crosses the goal line (23-3, 47th).
