Mattias Skjelmose experienced the emotional lift Friday evening during the time trial of the Danish championships. At the finish of a 41.3 km route around Herning, the resident of the Lidl-Trek crosses the line one second behind Johan Price-Pejtersen (Bahrain-Victorious), which therefore seizes the title. Frustrating. Especially after a big comeback from the recent 3rd in Tour of Switzerland in the last 13 kilometers. A few moments after the end of hostilities, the jury of the event announced the disqualification of Price-Pejtersen for riding on a portion of the cycle path at the side of the planned road. Shkjelmose recover the gold, Kasper Asgreen (Soudal Quick-S – who had also for a time glimpsed victory after a strong start – silver, and bronze went to Michael Bjerg (UAE Team Emirates).

Emma Norsgaard in gold in the women’s race
For women, she is the runner of the team Movistar Emma Norgaard who won the time trial over a 26.7 kilometer course. And this time there was no debate.
