This communication comes a little over a month after the end of the collaboration with the Renault engine plant in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne) was made official. The cost of purchasing an engine from an external engine manufacturer being limited to 17 million euros, Renault management is counting on savings of around 120 million euros per year.

The group’s management informed staff representatives at the end of July of its wish to transform its Viry-Châtillon factory.
