This message, coming from an Israeli individual, utters insults and threats of death and rape against the player’s family. The author of the message describes El Ghazi as a “terrorist” and calls for violence against those close to him, demonstrating deep hatred and worrying extremism.
Faced with such attacks, the footballer chose not to remain silent. He published the message on his “X” account to denounce the violence of the remarks and the relentlessness of which he is the victim from certain Israelis. “This message is one of many I receive from these people, and it clearly shows the way they think and act,” he said.

El Ghazi also denounces the “double standards” that prevail in the face of such acts. He claims that if the roles had been reversed, with an Arab sender and an Israeli target, the affair would have caused a media and political scandal, denouncing anti-Semitism. However, he notes, when racist messages target Muslims, silence reigns from the media and the authorities.
Fired by Mainz for supporting Palestine, the player won his case in court. The German club was ordered to pay him 1.7 million euros in compensation. Far from rejoicing at this sum, El Ghazi announced that he would donate 500,000 euros to projects for the children of Gaza.
