Special week in Hamoir. The club received a visit from a Juventus team for its assistant coach.
It is L’Avenir which shares this unexpected story: the Juventus delegated a production team to Hamoir to film assistant coach Carmelo Zambito in his daily life at the club. But what pushed Juve to make the trip to the Province of Liège?
All this comes from a documentary project by the Turin club. The Old Lady’s marketing team wanted to reflect the passion aroused by the club outside the Boot and to do so sought to immerse themselves in the daily life of a supporter living abroad. A large casting was therefore carried out.
“There was a questionnaire to fill out. Two weeks later, I received another email telling me that my questionnaire, like others, had caught their attention. I then had to make a videoconference” explains the coach to our colleagues.
Bianconero for 40 years
Carmelo turned out to be the big winner: “Three weeks ago, I was told that I was the supporter selected for the documentary. It’s unheard of that it fell on me. Which played a role, I think, it’s the fact that they knew that I’m at football six days a week since I also coach my kid’s team.”
The one who had already made his dream come true by meeting Alessandro Del Piero in Liège as part of the Circus Cup will now be at the heart of a documentary produced by his favorite club. Followed last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday by the Turinese, he is now impatiently awaiting the result. The documentary should be released within two months.
