Sébastien Grandjean is the new coach of SL16 FC, the Standard U23s. He will have a lot to do at the head of the red lantern of D1 ACFF.
Standard’s U23s have had a cataclysmic start to the season. SL16 FC is currently bottom of the Challenger Pro League, with only one point taken in 11 matches.
To rectify the situation, Sébastien Grandjean was called in to replaceOliver Krause. He is determined to save the team from relegation.
He spoke in an interview for the club’s media. “For the moment, it’s largely insufficient. We have one point out of thirty-three. It’s not catastrophic, it’s worse…”
“However, there is quality. But with one point out of thirty-three, we can also ask ourselves questions about the quality. This group does not have all the elements needed to win matches.”
“It’s up to me to change that. Standard has a name, a culture, supporters, this fervor and this rage to win that I want to see in every match. Every minute in a match and in training. A Standard that is let go and lower the ground, it doesn’t exist.”
