Cayden Lindstrom has yet to play this year

Before the last draft, the name Cayden Lindstrom was popular in Montreal.

We knew that the Canadiens organization really liked him, and we knew that there was a chance of seeing Kent Hughes select him with the 5th pick if he was still available.

But ultimately, Lindstrom was chosen 4th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Remember, however, that at the draft, there seemed to be concern about his back. He was affected by a herniated disc last season, which limited his number of games to just 32 in the WHL.

I’m telling you about this because as of today… The big striker still hasn’t played a single game this season.

Aaron Portzline wrote in a recent article that his return is approaching, but the youngster’s situation is starting to be scary all the same:

If Lindstrom had been drafted by the Canadian, there would be discord in town.

And with good reason.

After all, when a club has the luxury of being able to select in the top-5 in the draft, there are high expectations for the players who are chosen in the top-five.

There is no team that wants to make a mistake… And without saying that this is what happened to the Blue Jackets, the state of health of their best offensive prospect is worrying and that is not ideal.

However, everyone knew that Lindstrom had back problems… But the Jackets still decided to turn a blind eye because they believed in him.

Hoping for the player that he may be able to return to the game soon because he has great potential.

Even though he only played 32 games last season, he still scored 27 goals…

In burst

– Auston Matthews will have to miss tomorrow’s match against CH.

– They need to wake up.

– Good point.

– This is the first time I’ve seen this.
