This Wednesday, the spaces in the visitor parking lot at Parc OL quickly found takers among supporters. The derby between OL and ASSE will be played behind closed doors.

Towards a record attendance this season on Sunday evening at Parc OL? Without taking too many risks, we can say yes. After two seasons of waiting, Lyon supporters will be there for the return of the derby between theOL and theAS Saint-Étienne. There were already not many places left before the opening of the visitor parking lot for Lyonnais, but it is now a certainty: the Décines venue will be full for this match on the 11th day of Ligue 1. All places on sale by the club have found a buyer since this Wednesday. Nearly 59,000 spectators are therefore expected for the biggest derby in French football.

If we can regret the absence of Greens supporters for the folklore that this regional duel represents, the travel ban benefited their neighbors in Lyon. This Wednesday, theOL had put up for sale the approximately 1,600 places available in the visitor parking lot and it did not take long for them to be snapped up like hotcakes. Although reserved for subscribers and supporters, the parking lot, which will not be one on a Sunday, quickly filled up to full in the space of a few minutes. It's a festive Sunday ahead at Parc OL. As a reminder, the record for an OL match is 58,230 spectators and dates back to September 2022 with the arrival of PSG.
