Bastien Caraccioli, left arm amputee, completed the New York marathon

Originally from Argiusta-Moriccio, Bastien Caraccioli completed the New York marathon on November 3. A 100th participation in a race for this young man who has had his left arm amputated since a car accident in 2017.

The young man, who will celebrate his 30th birthday in a few days, completed the 42 kilometer course in 3h55. “I only remember the positive. Having had his left arm amputated in 2017 following a car accident, Bastien Caraccioli has since thrown himself headlong into running. To prepare for the New York marathon, he started training last August and completed 40 road running sessions.

Because Bastien Caraccioli had set himself a goal: 3:40, the time he recorded at the and Stockholm marathons. A few hours after his race, the young man assures that he would not change anything in his preparation and is pleased with the “confidence gained” and the “support” obtained throughout this experience.
