The coach of the Canadian men’s Soccer team Jesse Marsch has selected seven CF Montreal players from his squad of 19 athletes for the camp which will take place in Toronto, at the dawn of the two-way duel in the quarter-finals of the Concacaf Nations League which takes place later this month against Suriname.
The 19 Canadian players, whose teams were eliminated from their respective championships, will spend a week in Toronto under the leadership of Marsch. The final squad, which will be announced Friday, will then travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for a camp, before traveling to Suriname.
The CF Montreal players invited are goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois, defenders Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, Joel Waterman, Raheem Edwards, midfielders Nathan Saliba, Samuel Piette and Alessandro Biello and striker Jules-Anthony Vilsaint.
Canada, ranked 35th in the world, will begin this home-and-away series against Suriname (No. 136) on November 15 in Paramaribo. The return match will take place four days later at BMO Field in Toronto.
The FIFA international window will run from November 11-19.
