An official ceremony marked, Saturday in Es-Semara, the start of the rehousing operation for residents of the “Rbieb” and “El Gouiez” neighborhoods. On this occasion, 79 households received embryonic housing and lots of land as part of the national “Cities without slums” program.
This initiative is part of the development strategy of the southern provinces, mobilizing a total envelope of 532 million dirhams. Funded by various partners, this rehousing project intends to benefit more than 4,000 households, thus improving the living environment of families and the urban development of the city of Es-Semara. The ceremony took place in the presence of local authorities and several officials, also marking the launch of the second phase of the project, which consists of developing a new subdivision for an investment of 260 million dirhams.
The beneficiaries expressed their satisfaction with this initiative which offers them dignified housing close to essential services. Monitoring committees have been set up to guarantee the quality of infrastructure and compliance with delivery deadlines, thus contributing to the objective of an Es-Semara without slums by the end of the year.
