A session always awaited to see some young talents in action, the Bahrain Rookie Test will see several drivers added to the first list revealed a few days ago.
Thus, Antonio Serravalle, who competed at the start of the season with Isotta Fraschini, is expected in the Porsche 963 – Proton Competition. He will notably join Larry ten Voode and Charlie Wurz. Harry Tincknell and Julien Andlauer will serve as road captains for this day on the LMDh of Christian Ried’s team.
It is in LMGT3 that the changes are most numerous. Aligned with the No. 91 Porsche 911 GT3 R – Manthey EMA this year, Yasser Shahin will split his day between the No. 59 McLaren 720S GT3 EVO – United Autosports and the No. 60 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 – Iron Lynx. He will be imitated by Sébastien Baud, entered with TF Sport and the Corvette Z06 GT3.R this year, who will drive the #60 Lamborghini and the #95 McLaren – United Autosports.
At Iron Lynx, Edmond Barseghian (Western Endurance champion in 2023 and very present on social networks) and Corey Neveau are also expected in the No. 85 Lamborghini.
Darren Leung, present in the No. 31 BMW M4 GT3 – Team WRT in 2024, is expected in the No. 59 McLaren.
Proton Competition has also confirmed the presence of several drivers on the two Ford Mustang GT3s, with only Dennis Olsen having been made official at the start in the No. 88. Thus, Bernardo Sousa, often seen in rallying, Fabrizio Del Monte, Stefano Gattuso (both passed through the Italian GT, Gattuso having also evolved in Blancpain GT, GT Open…) and Timo Rumpfkeil (regular resident of the GT Open with Motopark), will be there alternately on n°77 and n°88. Ben Barker will be the reference driver for the No. 77.
Ben Barnicoat joins Aurélien Panis in the No. 78 Lexus RC F – Akkodis-ASP, with Arnold Robin moving to the No. 87.
