UFC Edmonton: Charles Jourdain victorious by submission in his bantamweight debut

Quebecer Charles Jourdain’s gamble to enter the bantamweight division paid off.

Wishing to end a streak of two defeats, Jourdain demonstrated that his future could lie at 135 lbs, as he defeated Victor Henry using a guillotine in the second round of their fight fought at UFC Fight Night in Edmonton.

Jourdain (16-8-1), who will be 29 years old at the end of November, thus signed in front of a Canadian crowd sold on his cause a 6th success by submission within the UFC.

After serving his opponent several of the most incisive attacks of the first round, Jourdain experienced a worrying moment at the start of the second round, while Henry (24-7-0) seemed well in control on the ground.
