Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov was probably looking forward to his team’s two-game trip to Tampere, Finland, to face the Dallas Stars.
Friday, during the Floridians’ 6-4 victory over the Texans, Barkov put on a show in his hometown by collecting a goal and three assists, for four points.

Sam Reinhart also had a successful evening, sparkling the red light twice. Defender Aaron Ekblad, for his part, amassed three assists.
However, a Quebecer stood out on the Dallas side, the young Mavrik Bourque having scored his first goal in the National Hockey League to reduce the score to 6 to 3 at the end of the match.
Other Stars replicas were the works of Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and Finland’s Esa Lindell.
The two teams will meet again at the Nokia Arena on Saturday.
