Austrian Max Kühner wins the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Trophy

The Austrian Max Kühner occupied first place in the general classification at the end of the third and final day of the Rabat stage with 254 points, ahead of the German Christian Kukuk (248).

Third place, in this international circuit contested over 15 stages, went to the other German Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann with 234 points. The Spaniard Eduardo Alvarez Aznar occupied 4th place.

The title of the previous edition of the Longines Global Champions Tour in show jumping was won by the Dutchman Harrie Smolders who occupied first place in the general classification at the end of the last stage held in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia with 252 points . His compatriot Maike van der Vleuten came 2nd (246 pts), followed by the Swede Henrik von Eckermann (245.5 pts).

On Friday, the “ Stars” team won the Longines Global Champions Tour team Grand Prix.

For their first participation, the “Cannes Stars” won the title with a total of 301 points. The “Riesenbeck International” team occupied 2nd place with 281 points, ahead of “Stockholm Hearts” (270 pts) and “Doha Falcons” (252).

This competition was held in Rabat as part of the Morocco-Qatar Cultural Year 2024 “Years of Culture”, punctuated by events where each of the two countries enhances a facet of its culture in its own way.

Founded in 2006 by former Dutch Olympic champion Jan Tops, the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) is an international show jumping circuit. It is the largest show jumping series in the world. The circuit promotes excellence in equestrian sports, showcasing the highest levels of competition and sportsmanship.
