VIDEO: St-Louis made sure a fan gave the puck to a child

During this duel against Patrick Roy’s soldiers, Martin St-Louis left Arber Xhekaj in the stands in order to offer a first match this year to Logan Mailloux, who did not expect to be called up so quickly. Unsurprisingly, Mailloux formed a pair with his comrade Lane Hutson, with whom the chemistry is palpable.

Here is the lineup used in this game against the New York Islanders.

A chemistry worthy of that found within this group of players and this video testifies to this unique camaraderie which unites this formation.

That said, Mailloux was quick to assert himself by delivering a check to Anthony Duclair, in front of the Montreal Canadiens bench. Number 24 even tried to make him feel the bench very closely, he who tried to overthrow him, without complete success.

His partner, Lane Hutson, also established himself just as quickly with feints like only he knows the secret.

But the sequence which caught the attention at the start of the duel remains this sequence, where we see MSL indicate to a spectator that the puck was for the child behind him. A moment full of authenticity, like the blue-white-red coach.

Despite these good moments on the Sainte-Flanelle side, it trails 1-2 and finds itself in a catch-up hockey situation.

Nevertheless, thanks to Cole Caufield for this net at the end of the period!

Happy second period to all fanatics!
