“It’s more a wish than reality, but it’s the Grand Tour that he misses”

Tadej Pogacar has already participated in Tour of Spain in 2019 and even finished on the podium of the event, behind the winner Primoz Roglic and the Spanish Alejandro Valverde. Questioned by our Spanish colleagues from AS, Javier Guillénthe director of Tour of Spainexpresses his wish to welcome the Slovenian world champion during The Return 2025 : “We are excited and delighted that Pogacar can come. We are absolutely respectful of the decision he can make, but there is a reality: this is the only Grand Tour he is missing. We want to announce the official departure now, but we have to balance the agendas. This is something exciting, because the Vuelta will once again be able to make new and different proposals. As for Pogacar, we don’t know if he will come in 2025, 2026… but, in my opinion, there is a good chance of seeing him at the Vuelta in 2025, even if it remains more of a wish than a reality,” concludes the Madrid native.
