Olivier Dall’Oglio, after obtaining three precious points against Auxerre, had two weeks to prepare for the reception of Racing Club de Lens. This highly anticipated match could allow the Stéphanois to move into the first half of the ranking in the event of a positive result. During this international break, several players joined their selection: Dylan Batubinsika, Lucas Stassin, Ben Old and Zuriko Davitashvili. These players should return to the group at the end of the week.
Several young people with the pros
As usual, Olivier Dall’Oglio took advantage of this period to observe several young talents. Midfielder Kenzo Kies made his first appearance in training with the professional squad this week. This is also the case for goalkeeper Matéo Houngbo Civier. Striker Melvyn Agesilas was also included in the sessions. This young Ile-de-France resident is taking the steps one after the other and today establishes himself as a key element of the reserve team. Hard-hitting and dynamic, he stands out for his offensive qualities under the direction of Razik Nedder. Although it is still too early to consider his integration into Ligue 1, his performances have not escaped observers, as evidenced by his increasingly regular participation in professional group training.
The future is being prepared at ASSE
Aged 18, Agesilas signed a professional contract until June 2027 and had an excellent start to the season with the reserve team, proving decisive in the last match against Olympique Lyonnais by obtaining the winning penalty. This constitutes a fair reward for a player who should make his debut with the AS Saint-Étienne professional squad in the coming months.
