ASFA makes its third and final outing in the group stage of the African Champions Club Championship this Monday. After two defeats in a row, the military team will at least want to achieve victory against the Ethiopians of Mechal to save their honor.
Before the match, the two clubs had already suffered two defeats in their first two group matches, against Widad and Adjidja HBC. The challenge of this match between ASFA and Mechal, however, is to win so as not to finish last in group D. However, the mission seems difficult for the Ethiopian team which, since the opening of the competition, has been beaten by record scores against Adjidja (56-28) and Widad (40-10), with 96 goals conceded in two matches, making it the weakest defense of the tournament. Thus, ASFA will certainly be in charge of its destiny in this match against an opponent with a low reputation and who does not pose great threats.
