Coupe de : Stade Briochin “didn’t leave much” in Lannion

Facing Lannionnais who were more inspired than in their last outings, the Briochins played seriously and showed opportunism to qualify for the 6th round of the Coupe de .

Coupe de France (5th round). Lannion FC (N3) – Stade Briochin (N2): 0-2

The start of the meeting was balanced. The first real opportunity of the match came on a 40-meter shot from Lannionnais Le Bonniec, who was very close to lobbing L’Hostis, a little forward (23′). Taking advantage of a big defensive error, Konan opportunistically opened the scoring (36′) for Stade Briochin.

Receiving a free kick from Louka Morin, Le Danvezet, with a good header, gave the Briochine defense a fright (42′). Devaux was also threatening, but his header narrowly missed the post. Lannion was unable to equalize.

In the second half, the game remained balanced. Stade Briochin goalkeeper L’Hostis remained vigilant on shots from Guiziou (56′) and Devaux (70′). On a well-executed counterattack, after two reflex saves from Davaï, Zakharyan, ideally placed, doubled the score (72′). Guillaume Allanou, the coach and president of Stade Briochin, was sent off in the 60th minute, just like Gomis, for a second yellow card (90′).

The “good state of mind” of the Lannionnais

“It’s a shame, these two red cards. In the match, we were generally in control. We showed control, and we didn’t leave them much. We are on an interesting dynamic defensively. It’s interesting for the future,” underlined Guillaume Allanou, the Briochin coach. “We found our state of mind today. In the game, we were good, the only thing we missed was scoring. But overall, the players reacted well, with a good state of mind. We will have to seek success in the next matches,” underlined Nicolas Laspalles, the Lannion coach.
