Author of a double, Emilien Gailleton was one of the spearheads of the Pau team during the success against Castres (33-26). Opposite, if Adrien Séguret was sometimes in difficulty in defense, Baptiste Cope was exemplary in this same sector.
The tops:
Emilien Gailleton
The international center scored two triesand the first one wasn’t quite done. On the second, he concluded a long class sequence. But Emilien Gailleton was sharp from start to finish, advancing with almost every catch of the ball. He was fortunate to be surrounded by a classy offensive squad but his ability to enhance his team’s highlights is indisputable. What talent for this player who could once again knock on the door of the XV of France. A benchmark match for him.
Baptiste Cope
If the Castres suffered in Pau, despite a collective awakening during the second half, he was clearly the most prominent player on his team. Baptiste Cope was omnipresent at the Hameau stadium. Impeccable with the ball in his hands, he was especially heroic in defense. Author of sixteen tackles in total in this meeting, he did not miss a single one this Saturday. His performance is at least very good news for manager Jeremy Davidson.
The flops:
Adrien Seguret
Impossible to blame the three-quarter center of Castres for its excess of energy. As usual, Adrien Séguret tried to have a lot of activity in the middle of the field but he was not very effective. Fairly erased offensivelyhe was especially deficient in defense, with five missed tackles (for only one successful). The Tarn duo, which he formed with Jack Goodhue, suffered from comparison with Manu and Gailleton.
Daniel Bibi Biziwu
We expect better from the defector pillar of Clermont. He was penalized in the scrum, particularly in the first period. His game was not catastrophic in the other sectors, but he must be more complete to become a real manager of the section. The euphoria of his team during three quarters of the match obviously worked against him.
Three victories in three matches for the Pau Section in its Hameau stadium, after its success against Castres (33-26). The Palois resisted the resounding return of the CO. Both teams remain in the top 4 in the standings.
