Pep Guardiola’s very surprising successor is known

Manchester City has found Txiki Begiristain’s replacement as club sporting director in Hugo Viana. The English media are already identifying a favorite to succeed Pep Guardiola as coach.

Guardiola is expected to leave Manchester City at the end of the season. The Spanish coach believes it is time to close this chapter with The Cityzenseven if the British media are not entirely convinced of his departure.

Successor already identified

With the appointment of Portuguese Hugo Viana as sporting director, his compatriot Ruben Amorim is tipped to become Guardiola’s successor. Amorim is currently the head coach of Sporting CP, where Red Devil Zeno Debast plays. The latter left Anderlecht last summer to join the Lisbon club.

However, Debast could already see his coach leave at the end of the season, with Amorim touted as the ideal candidate to replace Guardiola at Manchester City, if the latter were to actually leave the club. Some believe, however, that Guardiola could yet change his mind, bringing an end to a memorable era.

New coach for Doku and KDB?

Thus, Kevin De Bruyne and Jérémy Doku could already know their future coach. De Bruyne, meanwhile, has been heavily linked with a move away this summer, and it is not impossible that he could leave the club at the end of the season as a free agent.

De Bruyne’s contract is coming to an end, and the Saudi club Al-Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo plays, would have a keen interest in the captain of the Red Devils. Ronaldo would also have pleaded for his arrival, and an astronomical salary would await him in Saudi Arabia.
