Rocket: a victory by Logan Mailloux to start the season

Logan Mailloux obviously doesn’t want to stay with the Rocket for long.

Friday night, in Providence, the defenseman scored two goals and provided two assists in a 5-2 win for the Montreal Canadiens’ farm club over the Bruins.

The hope of Sainte-Flanelle hit the mark on a nice pass from Lucas Condotta in the second period. This net turned out to be the winning net.

He also did it again in the last third to put the match out of reach of his rivals.

On Mailloux’s first goal, the new Rocket captain collected his second assist, he who was also an accomplice in the goal that Adam Engstrom scored during the first period.

Filip Mesar and William Trudeau were the other scorers for Laval. The first took advantage of a numerical advantage in the second to move the strings, while the second hit the target in the last period.

In front of the Rocket net, Jakub Dobes was hardly busy. He received a total of 14 shots, including only eight in the first 40 minutes. The Czech was thwarted by shots from Vinni Lettieri and Patrick Brown. At the other end of the ice, goaltender Brandon Bussi was tested 39 times.

The CH farm club will return to action this Saturday, as part of a visit to Springfield to face the Thunderbirds.
