Degryse to Tedesco: “Convince this Devil to come back”

Belgium was completely dominated until the 2-1 goal. Italy didn’t even need to force to easily lead 2-0, but the expulsion changed the face of the match. After that, the Red Devils reacted well. Despite everything, Marc Degryse believes that Domenico Tedesco should have a serious discussion with an executive from the Red Devils.

De Ketelaere does not convince

Charles De Ketelaere had a logical opportunity to prove his worth in midfield, but he disappointed. However, it would be wise to give him more chances in several matches. Leandro Trossard was placed back in the middle after the break, and his performance was good, but this was made easier by the space left free due to the numerical inferiority of the Italians. Before that, he had not been at his best in this position.

Degryse thinks Tedesco should speak with Kevin De Bruyne. “He was injured this time, but in November he might be available to play. There is this crucial home game against Italy in the Nations League. I think Tedesco should really talk to him,” said the former Red Devil on VTM 2.

A return of De Bruyne?

However, De Bruyne is unlikely to reverse his decision. The Manchester City midfielder already said two years ago that Nations League matches are, for him and probably many other top footballers, seen as friendly matches. In addition, Manchester City’s schedule this year is particularly busy.

The English club still have to play 17 matches in 10 weeks before the end of the year. De Bruyne, who has suffered from several injuries in recent years, clearly needs more rest at the age of 33. Adding two extra games to his schedule, in a minor competition like the Nations League, doesn’t seem like a good idea.
