Lausanne beaten but qualified, Geneva bows – rts.ch

Lausanne qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League. But the Vaudois were beaten 3-2 after extra time by Storhamar Hamar.

The Vaudois, who recorded the return of Michael Raffl, had nevertheless started ideally after opening the scoring in the 8th thanks to Andrea Glauser on a pass from…Raffl. The 2-0 fell in the 13th from the cane of Lukas Frick.

The Norwegians returned to the game with a little luck with a success from Pappalardo (29th), then equalized in the 58th through Salsten. And in overtime, a stupid penalty from Raffl allowed the Scandinavians to be in power play and win.

More complicated for Geneva

Exiled to Neuchâtel, Geneva experienced the same match as their Lake Geneva colleagues. The Genevans led 2-0 to finally lose 3-2 after Klagenfurt.

Sami Vatanen wasted no time opening the scoring with a power play in the 21st minute. The Eagles then took a two-step lead thanks to Alessio Bertaggia (29th) before Obersteiner (39th) reduced the score. Klagenfurt came back to the level in the 46th before finally picking up a second point in the 64th thanks to Fraser following a Geneva blunder in the offensive zone.
