The Bruins have put together a monstrous defensive brigade

This weekend, the Boston Bruins finally reached an agreement with the star goaltender Jeremy Swayman on the terms of a long-term contract, thus ensuring that he will be ready for the 2024-25 season which will begin this evening in the NHL.

The team is now complete and ready to start the new season.

But while everyone was talking about the difficult contract negotiations between Swayman and the team’s management, few realized what an absolutely monstrous defensive brigade the Bruins had assembled during the off-season.

As reported by the former NHL defenseman Keith Yandle during a recent episode of the podcast Spittin’ Chickletsthe Bruins blue line will be scary this season.

Their defensive brigade is so huge this year, it’s incredible! Charlie McAvoy is their smallest defender and he is a monster.

They are built for a long playoff run.

Here is concretely what the Bruins defensive brigade will look like.

  • CHARLIE McAVOY – 6’1″/209lbs
  • MASON LOHREI – 6’5″/211lbs
  • ANDREW BANK – 6’3″/214lbs
  • BRANDON CARLO – 6’5″/217lbs
  • HAMPUS LINDHOLM – 6’4″/224lbs
  • NIKITA ZADOROV – 6’6″/248lbs

With the additions ofAndrew Banks at the trade deadline last year and the signing of the giant Nikita Zadorov As the free agent market opens this summer, management’s plan seems clear and they don’t intend to get shuffled this year.

No doubt, the Bruins intend to punish their opponents this season when they enter their zone.

Let’s see if the tactic will work.
