Brilliant at club before Malawi: Sadio Mané arrives at Diamniadio with a double – Lequotidien

Senegalese striker Sadio Mané facilitated Al-Nassr’s match on Saturday, against Al-Orobah, during the sixth day of the Saudi Pro League, by scoring twice. Which bodes well ahead of Malawi.

Sadio Mané is performing on high bases at the start of the year with Al-Nassr. In his last 5 matches with the Riyadh-based club, the Senegalese international (107 caps, 43 goals) scored 4 goals and delivered 3 assists. Against the promoted Al-Orobah (3-0) on Saturday, the 32-year-old winger saw double. He first made the break with a cross shot following a serve from Cristiano Ronaldo on the left (29th), then took a cross from the inside of the foot on the same side (71st).

Newfound efficiency

This is the first double of the season for the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich player. A good omen before leaving for the selection to face Malawi in a double confrontation, on October 11 in Diamniadio and October 15 in Lilongwe, for the third and fourth days of the CAN 2025 qualifiers.

On September 24, the native of Bambaly finally unlocked his club score for the first time since May 4, and the victory in great width against Al-Wehda (6-0). A probably regained efficiency which would undoubtedly not be too much for the National Team, missing Aliou Cissé who left in the middle of the week, and who would be well inspired to achieve a faultless performance against the Malawian Flames in order to secure the ticket for qualification to the next Can 2025.
