There are weekends more cheerful than others: Eclaron, by traveling to the Thionville-Lusitanos reserve on Sunday October 6, wanted to forget its almost disappointment in the Coupe de , against Oiry (Departmental 1).

But Abdoul Sidibé, the player-coach of Eclaron, had warned: the Mosellans know how to score. And this almost happened, in the 2′, when the local captain, Jérémy Lauratet, missed the target after a free kick.

The Eclaronnais always had difficulty finishing their counterattacks. The tandem of Abdoul Sidibé and Ghislain Gimbert did not hit the mark, particularly on an offside, in the 7′. The very lively Jules Vitoux, N°10 from Thionville, almost surprised Mohamed Sanogo (11′), who repelled the offensive with his foot.

And the Haute- response was almost made a reality by Ghislain Gimbert: from the left wing, he missed a real gem, with a brushed recovery passing a few centimeters from the opposite skylight. The score was opened by Thionville-Lusitanos, much more present in the visiting area. Téo Herr fired a powerful header and the ball went straight to the top corner (1-0, 16′). This punishes Eclaronnais who are sometimes too hesitant, despite a certain commitment.

The Haut-Marne clan called on Faouzi Moutaï, in order to bring more impactful animation to the midfield. There were numerous attempts from both sides, until the 45’+6′ mark: Faouzi Moutai, on his way to goal, was caught by Killian Dupuis, the local goalkeeper, in the area. Mr. Feneis did not designate the penalty spot and the following corner resulted in nothing.

The nerves gave out

The second period was better led by the Eclaronnais, who were getting dangerously close to the Thionville cage. Baptiste Bourgeois, although very well placed, procrastinated in the area before being caught (47′).

And the visitors had every interest in being wary of the left lane, since it included players from team “1”, in National 2. In other words: it was necessary to equalize to change the course of the match. It was not a fault for Faouzi Moutaï to try his luck, without success, on one of the very rare shots on target from Eclaron (66′).

Then, launched at full speed, Dorian Marisy dealt a blow to Eclaron, with a lightning incursion through the Haut-Marne defense (2-0, 70′). Abdoul Sidibé’s players began to lose their cool, notably Mohamed Sanogo.

The Haut-Marne goalkeeper was left with a white card (85′) and poor Mohamed Kanga, despite two saves, was not able to do much. First, Jules Vitoux unleashed a powerful strike into a wide open goal (3-0, 86′), then Dorian Marisy closed the score with a double (4-0, 90’+3′).

Despite a better second period, Eclaron took on water against a team which, as expected, scores a lot.

Coach’s words

Abdoul Sidibé (Eclaron player-coach): “We started the game very badly, with the first 25 minutes where we really weren’t into it at all. The opening score was logical, since we left a lot of generosity. In the second half, we put a little more pressure on the goalkeeper, forcing him to come out. And we got caught at 2-0, which really hurt us. There are a few refereeing decisions, including penalties not called and the white card, that I don’t really understand. But we should have equalized to change the face of the match. »
