“An exceptional return to the match” judges Bruno Genesio after LOSC – FC

Aware that the “match after” was not going to be an easy task, Bruno Genesio congratulated his troops after the victory over FC (2-1) this Saturday, happy with the reaction of LOSC in the second period.

It took a period for the Mastiffs to come down from their Madrid cloud and rediscover what makes them so charming. After a period during which they were absent, they were able to react in the second half to turn things around. Trailing by a pawn, LOSC ended up getting back into the race, taking the lead and winning (2-1) in front of an audience that was just waiting to wake up. At a press conference at the final whistle, Bruno Genesio expressed his first impressions: “It’s proud to see what my group showed this evening (Saturday)he begins. We had a very complicated first half, and that was predictable, but being able to get back into the match like we did in the second, to come back into the game to get the victory in the context that the “We’re alive (sequence of matches, including Wednesday’s), I believe it’s a very positive sign which underlines the strength of this group”judges the technician.

At the break, faces were tense and two elements were sent to warm up (Bouaddi and Santos). However, serenity reigned in the Lille locker room: “I wasn’t angry.recognizes the LOSC coach. I know these kinds of matches after what we experienced on Wednesday. Toulouse is a team that concedes few chances and is difficult to play against. We left a lot of psychological strength during the battle against Real and I expected a difficult start to the match. I would have liked us to be 0-0 at the break, which would have been a lesser evil, but I told the players that, as the match progressed, it would be fine. The ends of matches are often better after the European Cup, unlike the starts. Changes are my role to make choices and it’s interesting to see that they all worked out well. They went for this victory all together”rejoiced Bruno Genesio, happy to see the impact of the elements coming off the bench.

It is now time to look forward to what comes next and it promises to be tough: “We played against a very good team who pressed high, who almost never weakened on a physical level. It’s quite exceptional to be able to come back into the match as we did and I’m very proud of my players at the end of the cycle (concluded with the international break, editor’s note). We are now preparing to compete in another one which will be even tougher”concludes Bruno Genesio, who will have to surpass AS Monaco, Atlético de Madrid and RC , no less, in a limited time frame upon his return to business within two weeks.
