Longchamp (Gr.1) : Kyprios puissance 8

PRIX DU CADRAN (Gr.1) Undisputed stayer champion, Aidan O’Brien’s protégé Kyprios (Galileo) wins the 8th Gr.1 of his career, and is doubly crowned in this Prix du Cadran (Gr.1) which he had already won in 2022. Immediately installed in the lead by Ryan Moore, Kyprios started again with a better straight line entry to win with a margin over the defending champion Trueshan (Planteur), who resisted the beautiful attack from Coltrane (Masterscraftsman), who ends pleasantly after waiting a long time.

Kyprios will remain in training next year to try to further expand his record and in particular attempt the hat-trick in the Gold Cup (Gr.1) at Ascot. He was bred by Moyglare Stud, whose mantle he defends, in partnership with Coolmore associates. He is the brother of 7 other black types including the Irish stallion Free Eagle (High Chaparral), winner of the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes (Gr.1), Search For A Song (Galileo), winner of the Irish St. Leger twice, and Sapphire (Medicean), winner of the British Champions Fillies’ And Mares’ Stakes (Gr.2, at the time) and 2nd in the Pretty Polly Stakes (Gr.1).
