Asked about his rivalry with Carlos Alcaraz during an interview with Tennis TV on the sidelines of the Shanghai Masters 1000, Jannik Sinner highlighted their main differences when they are on court.

“I said that off the pitch we are quite similar, but on the pitch we are different. He’s the one who brings the firepower, the shots, he gets the crowd involved, he’s a little different. I’m quite a solid player, quite calm, so it’s a bit like fire and ice, but it’s a good combination, it also shows that everyone is different. I believe I have to take inspiration from him as a player, sometimes trying different shots, which makes me grow as a player, but it takes time.
