Marie-Philip Poulin married her teammate Laura Stacey

La Victoire de Montréal has already celebrated a triumphant event even before having played a first match under its new identity: its players Marie-Philip Poulin and Laura Stacey said yes to each other for life on Saturday.

As the story broadcast by Poulin clearly showed, the two women got married in front of the radiant smiles of their loved ones. Little information came out of the celebration, but, judging by a photo posted on the star hockey player’s Instagram account, everything went well, in total harmony.

The Quebecer and her wife are two of the first three athletes to have signed a contract with the Montreal team before the draft of the Professional Women’s Hockey League. They are used to rubbing shoulders on the ice, because they won gold medals together at the Olympic Games and the World Championship.

In 2023, Poulin proposed to Stacey during a trip to Hawaii.
