From October 3 to 6, Nice is preparing to host the UTMB for the third consecutive year. The unique opportunity for trail enthusiasts and families to participate in an internationally renowned sporting event in partnership with France 3 Côte d’Azur. The Côte d’Azur and the UTMB, a love story that has lasted for three years! Thanks to the diversity of its landscapes, the French Riviera has captured the hearts of organizers and runners who come from all over the world.

Since its creation in 2003, the UTMB has become the Holy Grail for trail runners around the world. This legendary event has always been synonymous with surpassing oneself, communion with nature and the discovery of breathtaking landscapes. By organizing editions on the Côte d’Azur, the UTMB is anchoring itself in a rich territory, where the sea and the mountains come together… A unique playground for runners.

From the forests of the hinterland, to the coastal paths through the climbs to the summits, participants will have the privilege of crossing varied natural areas where the panoramas will be spectacular, day and night.

The Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB offers several adapted to several levels. With 4 courses on the program, the 100 miles, the 100 kilometers, the 50 kilometers and the 20 kilometers, seasoned competitors or amateur runners will find what they are looking for.

To make the UTMB more accessible and inclusive, a night relay will take place on Thursday October 3 at 8 p.m. on the Promenade des Anglais. 7 kilometers to be covered in teams of two for a friendly and festive experience !

Children will also have their place in this event thanks to dedicated races by age group on Friday October 4 from 6:30 p.m.:

• Chicks (10-11 years): 1.5 km
• Benjamins (12-13 ans) : 3 km
• Minimes (14-15 years): 4.5 km

This is the ideal opportunity for young people to discover the world of trail running in a secure and suitable setting, while experiencing the excitement of the UTMB.

While all races are sold out, Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB has decided to add 20 bibs to support a solidarity cause. By opting for these bibs, participants contribute to supporting the Mission Trekkeurs association, which works for the well-being and education of young people through sport and nature.

The UTMB in Nice is not just reserved for experienced trail runners. Encouragement areas will be set up throughout the course for spectators. In addition, numerous entertainment and activities will be offered for the whole family. Trail discovery stands, workshops for children, food trucks offering local specialties…
