2024 World Cycling Championships: at what time and on which channel to watch the women’s road race?

Big week for cycling enthusiasts. On Sunday, the Belgian Remco Evenepoel managed to defend and retain his title of world time trial champion. The rest also promises to be enjoyable during the 2024 Road Cycling World Championships, notably with the start of the women’s road race this Saturday.

An outing which will notably mark the return of Frenchwoman Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, Olympic cross-country mountain bike champion, who will mainly oppose the reigning Belgian champion Lotte Kopecky. The French rider has not been crowned at the World Championships for ten years, in Spain in 2014. Fourteenth at the Mountain Bike Worlds at the beginning of September, the native of abandoned her flagship discipline for 5 years to return to fundamentals with the road cycling.

On the route side, 154.1 km long with a difference in altitude of 2,384 m, the route will be slightly different from that of the men on Sunday: the runners will start from Uster to go around Lake Greifen, and then conclude at Zurich, like the men the next day.

The start of the race is scheduled for 12:45 p.m., with an arrival at around 4:45 p.m., this Saturday, September 28. The race will be broadcast on TV and Eurosport channels. The final of the event will also be followed live with commentary on leparisien.fr.
